You bought those cool glow-in-the-dark lighters because you wanted to impress your friends, and you definitely did! But the novelty quickly wore off, and now those lighters are just sitting in your desk drawer or on your bedside table, gathering dust and waiting for their next trip to the beach with you. However, just because those lighters aren’t being used doesn’t mean they have to go to waste!
Cold Weather Won’t Affect Glow
Glow sticks and glow-in-the-dark stickers are great for lighting up a dark room in the winter. But there are also other items you can use like a flashlight, candles, or glow in the dark lighters. Here’s what you need to know about getting those lighters working
Soak Them In Water
One way to get your glow in the dark lighters glow brighter is by soaking them in water. This can increase the luminosity of the object and give it a light green color. All you need to do is leave your lighters submerged in a glass of water for about 15 minutes, and then turn them on for 10 seconds. For some items, this may not be enough time to fully charge them.
Use A Hair Dryer
A hair dryer can be used as a heating source, so if you want to get your glow in the dark lighters really bright and they are not yet as bright as you'd like them to be, simply blow on them with a hair dryer. This will make the area where the particles glow brighter, and it is usually pretty quick.
